India will launch indigenous nuclear submarine and the country’s first intercontinental ballistic missile by 2015, a top defense official has said.
State-owned Indian Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) chief Avinash Chander has said the 5,000 km range nuclear-capable Agni V intercontinental ballistic missile and INS Arihant, a nuclear-powered submarine armed with atomic warhead missiles, would be ready by next year, The Times of India newspaper reported Saturday.
