Combined Maritime Forces (CMF)

Pakistan’s Commodore Muhammad Ishan Qadir, the Commander of Combined Task Force 151 (CTF 151), recently met the Acting Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman, Rasheed Taj Moyd Al Raisi to thank him for their ongoing support of international counter-piracy efforts in the region.

During the meeting the Commodore provided an overview of CTF 151’s counter-piracy operations and the state of piracy in the region.  He said, “Reported pirate activity has declined, owing in part to the security measures adopted by the maritime shipping industry, increased stability in northern Somalia and largely to the presence of international counter-piracy naval forces.”
