Taiwan skipper arrested for trespassing into Japan waters – The China Post

TAIPEI, Taiwan — A Taiwanese skipper has been arrested by Japanese authorities for fishing on Japan’s side of a temporary enforcement line in overlapping waters in the East China Sea, an official said yesterday.

According to local media reports, the Cheng Chang Fa No. 2 (正昌發2號) fishing boat was intercepted by vessels belonging to Japan’s Fisheries Agency while operating in seas off Okinawa’s Taketomi Island around midnight Tuesday.
