Yemeni authorities bring crew of Iranian weapons ship to court | Al-Shorfa

Yemeni security authorities on Tuesday (April 16th) brought eight crew members of an alleged Iranian ship — seized earlier this year — to court for planning criminal acts targeting Yemen’s “territorial integrity and wellbeing”, the official Yemeni news agency Saba reported.

A ninth defendant is being tried in absentia in connection with the case.

The specialised criminal prosecutor’s office in Aden province has completed investigations into the case of the ship, named Jihane, which was seized by coast guards on January 23rd in Yemeni territorial waters, the news agency said.
